Born after World War II, from 1946 to 1964, the oldest Baby Boomers will turn 74 next year. When the last census was taken in 2010, the oldest had not yet reached the age of 65.
Since then, close to 10,000 per day have crossed that age threshold. And by 2030, all Baby Boomers will be at least age 65.
Your Medicare enrollment period is 3-months before your birthday and continues for 7-months. If you are receiving your Social Security Benefits, you don’t need to do anything, Social Security will automatically enroll you in Part A (Hospital Stays) and Part B (Physician Fees) benefits effective the 1st day of your birthday month.
